It is crucial to maintain soft to moderately hard water conditions, as these mimic their natural habitat.

Feeding Krobia xinguensis is straightforward due to their omnivorous diet. A balanced diet should consist of high-quality flake foods, live or frozen foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp, and plant matter to ensure proper nutrition. Compatibility-wise, Krobia xinguensis can be kept with other peaceful freshwater species, but care should be taken to avoid overly aggressive tank mates that may stress them.

These fish are sensitive to temperature fluctuations; maintaining a stable environment between 24°C and 28°C during shipping is crucial.
