Sustainability

Responsible export is central to how Mariola Bali operates. We believe the aquarium trade can support coastal communities and specialist breeding facilities when livestock is sourced, handled, and exported with care, transparency, and respect for regulations.

Our sourcing policy focuses on licensed supply channels, appropriate species selection, and practical animal welfare. We avoid irresponsible handling practices and prioritize suppliers who understand collection limits, holding quality, and the importance of healthy animals before export.

For corals and CITES-listed species, compliance is non-negotiable. Shipments are prepared according to applicable Indonesian export rules and international documentation requirements. Where CITES permits are required, exports are coordinated only through the proper legal process.

Animal welfare starts long before the shipment leaves Bali. Livestock is inspected, conditioned, and packed according to species needs. Sensitive animals require stable holding, careful acclimation, appropriate fasting, clean water, oxygen, insulation, and box planning that reflects transit time and destination climate.

We also support the growing role of aquacultured, maricultured, and captive-bred livestock in the trade. These sources help reduce pressure on wild populations while giving importers access to consistent, resilient animals. Where available, we clearly identify captive-bred, aquacultured, or maricultured items in the catalog.

Sustainability is not a slogan for us. It is a working standard applied through supplier selection, export documentation, packing discipline, and honest communication with importers. Our long-term goal is to help buyers source Indonesian aquatic life in a way that is commercially reliable and environmentally responsible.
