This small Bornean mouthbrooder is known from the Sebuku drainage, where it occurs among stream-margin roots and fallen leaves. Displaying males combine red areas with broad dark bands inside white fin edges. It is closely related to Betta channoides, but the two are distinct species. The catalogue offers the fish as pairs; its minimum of three pairs means six animals, with price per animal.
The specialist reference gives 23-28 C and pH 4.0-6.5 in very soft water. Use a sheltered, gently filtered aquarium with a cover and humid air access above the surface. Provide appropriately small live or frozen foods and confirm acceptance of prepared feed. Avoid vigorous companions and match transfer to measured holding water.
MBI-BET-032 (3 cm - 4 cm): 1 fish per bag; maximum 500 bags per box.
MBI-BET-032: Minimum order: 3 pairs (6 animals). Price per animal. Prices are per individual fish. Existing quotation and business terms govern shipment arrangements.
