Commercial betta guidance recommends 20-28 C and pH 6-8 in soft-to-medium water (4-12 dGH). Provide a filtered aquarium with gentle current, plant cover and access to air above the water. Keep males apart; choose any companions cautiously and avoid rough ornaments. Match acclimation to measured lot conditions. Feed appropriate betta foods with suitably small live or frozen supplements, and monitor feeding and fin condition.
