Macmasteri is the accepted spelling of the supplier macmesteri name. The reference species is known from the upper Meta system in Colombia. This tank-bred listing keeps its 3.5 cm and 5 cm grades, with breeder locality, selected sex and ornamental colour line unspecified.
Guidance gives 24-28 C and pH 5.5-7.0 in soft water. Provide mature gentle filtration, shaded sandy areas, wood and cave refuges. Offer small live or frozen foods and accepted prepared alternatives, checking feeding access. Confirm breeder conditions and allow separate shelter if a breeding female becomes aggressive.
