Repeated Bohi River records confirmed surrufus in Sulawesi between 2019 and 2022. Current taxonomy also recognises a wider western Pacific range. That reference history does not identify the source of this wild-caught 3-4 cm lot or establish a male-only selection, uniform colour or an adult-size ceiling.
Confirm measured holding water and established foods with the supplier before transfer. Prepare mature filtered accommodation with suitable stream circulation and secure resting cover, and monitor each fish feeding. Do not infer adult salt dosing or a numerical aquarium range from the marine larval phase of its amphidromous life cycle.
