Origin
Reference species: Indonesia to Vietnam and Kosrae, north to southern Japan, south to Papua New Guinea; exact locality unspecified.
Recent reference specimens show diamond-like flank blotches and wavy dark bands near the tail. Nominal cavifrons occurs in fresh and brackish coastal habitats and can consume small fishes and invertebrates. The wild-caught 3-5 cm grade leaves collecting population and sex unspecified; historical 4 cm total-length summaries are not adopted as an absolute ceiling.
Obtain the measured holding salinity, water chemistry and accepted small foods before transfer. Use mature filtered housing with accessible refuges and check individual intake. Avoid tiny fish that can be swallowed. Territorial and predatory interactions require observation; freshwater occurrence alone does not specify the long-term salinity for every coastal lot.
MBI-GOB-046 (3 cm - 5 cm): 50 fish per bag; maximum 8 bags per box.
Order minimum: MBI-GOB-046: 100 individual fish. Price is per individual fish. Existing quotation and business terms govern shipment arrangements.
