Belontia hasselti belongs to the gourami family. Its unpaired fin pattern differs from the reddish signata relative. It is associated with sluggish forest freshwater and peat-swamp habitats. The wild-caught 3-4 cm grade does not select sex, a precise collecting site or a finished adult size.
Species keeper guidance gives 21-26 C and pH 4.5-8.5. Use mature filtered housing with gentle flow, shade, wood or cave cover and surface access. Very small fish may be eaten, and adults can attack their own kind, including non-spawning females. Allow ample adult space and offer appropriately sized live, frozen or accepted prepared foods.
MBI-OTH-003 (3 cm - 4 cm): 50 fish per bag; maximum 8 bags per box.
Order minimum: MBI-OTH-003: 100 individual fish. Price is per individual fish. Existing quotation and business terms govern shipment arrangements.
