The original description records a pale dorsal stripe bordered by dark polygonal markings, giving this species its distinctive patterned appearance. The reference locality is Kalimantan Tengah rather than a promise of where the offered fish were collected. The 30-45 cm shipping grade is retained without converting preserved-specimen measurements into an adult-size limit.
Confirm measured holding water and the established diet before arrival. Prepare mature filtered adult accommodation with shelter and a secure lid.
