Hamburg swordtail

The catalogue calls this line Hamburg Swordtail while recording Xiphophorus maculatus. Swordtail is retained as the commercial form name, without automatically relabelling the stock as X. hellerii. Xiphophorus aquarium varieties have a history of selective breeding and interspecific crossing; this line's exact ancestry is not certified by the catalogue. The offered grade does not guarantee sex composition, mature colour coverage or final fin proportions.

Commercial swordtail reference guidance gives 22-27 C and pH 7-8, with hardness of 4-12 dGH.
