Fasinensis Rainbowfish

Melanotaenia fasinensis is the accepted name of the species listed here as Melatonaenia fasinensis. The original description records it from Fasin Creek near Ween village. Reference mature males combine blue upper colour, orange-red sides, a blue patch behind the pectoral region and red fins. This wild-caught 7-8 cm offer does not select sex or certify a mature display.

Confirm the supplier's measured holding water, accepted foods and adult group-housing requirements before receiving. Prepare established filtered accommodation with sheltered margins and swimming space appropriate to the confirmed stock. A single field measurement or another population's aquarium range does not establish this lot's care limits.
