Iriatherina werneri is a freshwater rainbowfish from central-southern New Guinea and northern Australia. It occurs in slow waters with abundant aquatic vegetation. The species has a reported 4.0 cm standard-length record; this adult reference is separate from the export grade. Native distribution does not identify the breeding site of the offered fish.
