Pseudomugil signifer is the Pacific blue-eye from eastern Australia. Populations vary in body size, fin shape and colour; mature males are more strongly patterned than females. This tank-bred 2.5 cm offer has no collection-population or male-only designation.
Reference care gives 20-26 C, pH 6.5-7.5 and 5-15 dGH. Keep at least eight to ten in mature planted housing with oxygenation and some flow, and provide tiny live foods plus suitable crushed floating food. Larger northern males can be territorial, so confirm the breeding population and adult space requirement. Routine salt addition is unnecessary.
