Compatibility is generally good with other peaceful species, though care should be taken with larger, more aggressive fish that may outcompete them for food.

Acclimation should be done gradually over several hours to prevent shock. It's advisable to quarantine new arrivals for at least two weeks to monitor for any signs of disease before introducing them to a community tank. Regular water changes and tank maintenance will further ensure a healthy environment for this unique freshwater species.
