Adult individuals can reach a maximum size of approximately 25 cm, making them a notable addition to any marine aquarium.

In their natural habitat, Two Spot Wrasses are often found darting among coral structures and rocky crevices. They thrive in shallow waters, generally residing in depths ranging from 1 to 30 meters. Feeding a balanced diet is critical for the health of Two Spot Wrasses. They are carnivorous and thrive on a diet that includes high-quality pellets, frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and small crustaceans. It is essential to provide them with a varied diet to promote vibrant coloration and overall well-being.

Compatibility is an important consideration; while Two Spot Wrasses can coexist with many species, they may exhibit aggression towards similar-looking fish or other wrasses. It is advisable to introduce them into a well-established tank with plenty of hiding spots to minimize territorial disputes.

Acclimation should be approached carefully, ideally using a drip acclimation method over several hours to ensure they adapt to the new environment. Quarantine new arrivals for at least two weeks to monitor for any signs of disease before introducing them to the main tank.

The Two Spot Wrasse is suitable for shipping, provided they are packed with care to minimize stress. A packing density of 1 fish per 10 liters is recommended to ensure adequate space and oxygen. Temperature should be maintained between 24°C and 28°C during transit. This species is not listed under CITES, but care should be taken to follow local and international regulations when exporting.
