The former Api-api trade name was formally linked to Betta mulyadii in its 2025 description. This small Sumatran species has a reddish male body and red unpaired fins with bluish dorsal and caudal margins. Its known natural population is from Riau; the current catalogue does not give the collection site. The supplier code and pair offer remain separate from Green Apiapi.

Obtain measured holding water and established species-specific keeper guidance before setting numerical aquarium targets.
