Hyalobagrus flavus is distinct from the older trade identification Pelteobagrus ornatus. Reference populations occur in Sumatra and southern Borneo, where shoals shelter around aquatic vegetation in acidic waters. Its daytime and midwater behaviour makes planted open swimming areas useful. The wild-caught 3 cm grade does not specify a collecting drainage or selected sex.
Species reference guidance gives 21-26 C and pH 5.5-7. Keep a group of at least six with small peaceful companions. Provide planted shelter, floating shade and open swimming areas with gentle water movement and reliable filtration. Feed small live or frozen foods alongside accepted dried foods; do not rely entirely on dried food.
MBI-CAT-033 (3 cm): 50 fish per bag; maximum 8 bags per box.
MBI-CAT-033: minimum 400 individual fish. Prices are per individual fish. Existing quotation and business terms govern shipment arrangements.
