Cacatuoides includes numerous ornamental aquarium forms. The supplier offers tank-bred 3.5 cm and 5 cm grades without selecting a red, orange or other named colour line. Sex composition and paired status are unspecified; mature male fin shape is a reference trait rather than a promise for each fish.
Species guidance gives 22-29 C. Use mature gentle filtration, shaded sandy areas and cave refuges. Feed accepted small live or frozen and suitable prepared foods. Confirm breeder pH and hardness rather than applying the pH 5-6 values given for breeding some wild populations. Allow separate territories and monitor breeding aggression.
