Glass Gobies are omnivorous, and their diet should consist of high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods like daphnia and brine shrimp. Providing a varied diet will enhance their coloration and overall health. When it comes to tank mates, they are generally peaceful but should not be housed with overly aggressive species that may stress them.

Acclimation is crucial for these fish; a slow drip method is recommended to help them adjust to new water conditions. Quarantine new arrivals for at least two weeks to prevent the spread of disease within your main tank. Providing plenty of hiding spots will help reduce stress and encourage natural behaviors, making them more enjoyable to observe.

Glass Gobies are suited for shipping, provided they are packed in breathable bags with ample oxygen. A packing density of 1 fish per liter is recommended to minimize stress during transit. They are sensitive to temperature fluctuations, so maintaining a stable environment is essential. CITES status is currently not applicable for this species, allowing for straightforward export and trade.
