Longifilis is the supplier common name for maculidorsalis. The original species description records western Sumatra and characteristic head and dorsal-body spots. Reference males have an extended pointed first dorsal and colourful fin margins; females differ. This wild-caught 3-4 cm lot leaves sex composition, collecting stream and mature colour intensity unspecified.
Specialist guidance gives 20-28 C and pH 6.5-7.5. Provide mature, well-oxygenated water, rounded rock refuges and a tight cover; these gobies can climb glass. Maintain ample algae and biofilm for grazing and confirm supplementary foods are accepted. Allow visual barriers between males and avoid aggressive food competitors. Confirm the supplier's measured holding-water conditions before transfer.
