As a freshwater species, they do not have specific salinity requirements.

Feeding these gobies a varied diet is crucial for their health. A combination of high-quality flake foods, frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia, and sinking pellets will ensure they receive the necessary nutrients. It is important to feed them multiple times a day in small amounts to prevent overfeeding and maintain water quality.

In terms of compatibility, Red Stripes Gobies are generally peaceful and can coexist with a variety of community fish. However, they may be timid and require gentle tankmates that do not pose a threat. Acclimation should be done gradually, using the drip acclimation method to minimize stress.
