Broad paired fins and a mottled body give this loach a low profile near the substrate. Current classification places the species in Homalopteroides rather than Homaloptera. Its wild-caught 6-7 cm offer is a shipping grade, with collecting locality and sex unspecified. Small invertebrate foods are relevant to its feeding needs; it should not be treated as a fish sustained by aquarium algae alone.
Species reference guidance is 20-25.5 C and pH 6.0-7.5. Use a mature aquarium with clean, well-oxygenated water, secure cover and several sheltered resting places. Confirm the supplier holding water and feeding response before transfer, and provide food where bottom-dwelling fish can reach it without competition. Maintain a group of at least six when space permits. Provide smooth stones, wood and sheltered areas with good circulation. Offer suitably sized live or frozen foods such as Artemia and other small aquatic invertebrates, plus suitable sinking preparations, and monitor the feeding response of newly received fish.
MBI-LOA-036 (6 cm - 7 cm): 15 fish per bag; maximum 8 bags per box.
