Reference fish have dark bodies and fins with a large dorsal fin; mature fish may show a small iridescent centre on each scale. The species reaches about 60 cm standard length, excluding the tail, and can become aggressive towards its own kind and similarly shaped fish. This tank-bred 12-14 cm grade leaves sex and breeder lineage unspecified.
Keeper guidance gives 20-26 C and pH 6.0-8.0. Plan a very large specialist installation, mature filtration, oxygenation and rigorous water maintenance. Provide sheltered territory and avoid crowding conspecific or similar-shaped rivals. Offer varied prepared foods, plant material and small live or frozen items; confirm the breeder regimen before transfer.
MBI-OTH-030 (12 cm - 14 cm): 6 fish per bag; maximum 6 bags per box.
Order minimum: MBI-OTH-030: 20 individual fish. Price is per individual fish. Existing quotation and business terms govern shipment arrangements.
