The nominal species can reach about 50 cm total length, well beyond this tank-bred lot 7-8 cm and 15 cm ordering grades. Its weak electric field supports navigation, prey detection and communication. The two grades retain separate packing; neither establishes selected sex, exact breeder ancestry or a small adult size.
Keeper guidance gives 23-28 C and pH 6.0-8.0. Plan adult housing around at least a 180 by 60 cm footprint, with dim cover, soft sand and efficient well-maintained filtration. Provide suitably sized live or frozen foods and verify prepared-food acceptance. Avoid swallowable small fish, aggressive competitors and crowding with rival knifefish.
MBI-OTH-002 (7 cm - 8 cm): 1 fish per bag; maximum 300 bags per box; MBI-OTH-001 (15 cm): 1 fish per bag; maximum 50 bags per box.
Order minimum: MBI-OTH-002: 50 individual fish; MBI-OTH-001: 50 individual fish. Price is per individual fish. Existing quotation and business terms govern shipment arrangements.
