Pristolepis grootii belongs to Pristolepididae and is distinct from the South American leaf fish sold under Monocirrhus. A primary Lake Lubuk Siam study found plant material and insects as the principal stomach contents, with smaller contributions from fish and crustaceans. This wild-caught 3-4 cm offer does not identify a collecting lake or selected sex.
Obtain measured holding water, accepted foods and adult housing needs for the collecting lot. Prepare mature filtered accommodation with accessible shelter and monitor feeding after receipt. Provide the foods already accepted by the supplier; a mixed natural diet does not establish a precise commercial feeding schedule or numerical aquarium limits.
