The Red Rainbowfish is native to the Lake Sentani region of northern New Guinea. Mature males develop a deep body and red colour, while females have a different appearance. This tank-bred 4 cm offer has no male-only designation; mature display colour is not promised at the offered grade.
Species reference guidance gives 22-25 C and pH 7.0-8.0 in moderately hard water. Provide efficient mature filtration, planted shelter and open swimming space. Maintain a shoal of at least six to eight and feed varied prepared, live and frozen foods. Confirm actual holding water and sex composition before transfer.
