Also traded as Kerri or Royal Tetra, Inpaichthys kerri occurs naturally in the Aripuanã drainage of the upper Madeira basin in Brazil. The October stock is listed as tank bred.

Blue Emperor is a trade name for this species, distinct from Nematobrycon palmeri. Inpaichthys has an adipose fin that helps distinguish it from Nematobrycon. The supplied grade is 2.3–2.5 cm; published aquarium profiles describe adults around 3.5 cm standard length, excluding the tail.
Keep a group in a well-maintained aquarium with cover and subdued areas. Select gentle companions because larger or boisterous fish can outcompete it. Specialist guidance gives 24–27°C and pH 5.5–7.0. Feed varied small prepared foods with live or frozen supplements, and confirm arrival-water conditions before acclimation.
MBI-TET-050: 2.3 cm - 2.5 cm, 90 fish per bag, minimum 90 fish and up to 8 bags per box.
