For importers and retailers, the Ornate Butterfly requires specific water parameters to thrive. Ideal temperature ranges from 24°C to 28°C, with a salinity of 1.020 to 1.025 ppt. The pH should be maintained between 8.1 and 8.4. It is crucial to ensure that the tank is adequately filtered and includes live rock and coral structures to mimic their natural habitat.

Feeding should consist of a varied diet including high-quality marine flakes, frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and finely chopped seafood to ensure proper nutrition. As for compatibility, the Ornate Butterfly is best kept with other peaceful species and should avoid aggressive tank mates that might stress them.
