The pH should be maintained between 8.1 and 8.4. A minimum tank size of 100 liters is recommended to provide ample space for swimming and foraging.

Feeding Scooter Blennies requires a varied diet rich in small live foods. They do well on a diet of high-quality marine pellets, frozen food, and live microfauna. Regular feedings, ideally several times a day, will ensure they receive adequate nutrition. It's important to monitor their feeding habits as they can be timid eaters, especially among more aggressive tank mates.

In terms of compatibility, Scooter Blennies are best housed with peaceful community fish. They may become stressed in tanks with aggressive species or larger fish. Acclimation should be done slowly to minimize stress, ideally over several hours in a quarantine tank before introducing them to the main aquarium.
