Ideal temperature ranges from 24°C to 28°C, with a salinity of 1.020 to 1.025 ppt and pH levels between 8.1 and 8.4. These fish thrive in well-filtered and aerated aquariums with stable water conditions. Feeding should include a diet of high-quality marine pellets, frozen foods, and live foods such as brine shrimp and mysis shrimp to promote optimal health and coloration.

Compatibility is generally good, as Redstriped Cardinals are peaceful and can be housed with other small to medium-sized reef fish. However, care should be taken to avoid aggressive tankmates. Acclimation should be gradual to minimize stress; floating the bag in the aquarium for about 15 minutes before introducing the fish is recommended.
