When caring for the Undulate Trigger, maintaining optimal water conditions is crucial. The ideal temperature range for this species is between 24°C and 28°C, with a salinity level of 1.020 to 1.025 ppt. Regular water quality testing is essential to ensure pH levels remain stable between 8.1 and 8.4. Providing a minimum tank size of 200 liters is recommended to accommodate their active swimming behavior and territorial nature.

Feeding the Undulate Trigger involves offering a varied diet that consists of high-quality marine pellets, frozen or live food such as shrimp, clams, and other crustaceans. This species thrives on a protein-rich diet, so ensuring a proper nutritional balance is key to their health. Compatibility should be approached with caution; while they can coexist with some larger fish, they may exhibit aggression towards smaller or similarly shaped species.

Acclimation is an important process when introducing an Undulate Trigger to a new tank. A slow acclimation over several hours can reduce stress and improve survival rates. Quarantine of new arrivals for at least two weeks is also highly recommended to prevent the introduction of diseases to the main aquarium.

The Undulate Trigger is suitable for shipping, but careful attention must be paid to packing density and temperature control. It is best to ship them in well-aerated bags with adequate water volume to minimize stress. Ideal temperatures during transit should be maintained between 24°C and 28°C. This species is not currently listed under CITES, simplifying export regulations.
