A minimum tank size of 200 liters is recommended to provide ample space for swimming and territory establishment.

Feeding the Twotone Wrasse can be quite straightforward, as they are carnivorous and thrive on a varied diet consisting of high-quality pellets, frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. This variety helps to ensure they receive all necessary nutrients for optimal growth and coloration. Regular feeding, ideally twice a day, will keep them healthy and active.

When introducing Twotone Wrasses to a new aquarium, acclimation is crucial. A slow drip acclimation method is recommended to reduce stress. It is also advisable to quarantine new arrivals for at least two weeks to monitor for any signs of disease before introducing them to the main display tank. Compatibility is generally good with other reef fish; however, care should be taken to avoid housing them with overly aggressive species or similar-looking wrasses to minimize territorial disputes.

Twotone Wrasses are suitable for shipping due to their hardiness, but careful packing is essential to minimize stress during transport. A packing density of 1-2 fish per liter of water is recommended to allow for movement and reduce ammonia buildup. Temperature should be maintained between 24°C and 28°C during shipping. As of now, there are no CITES restrictions on this species, facilitating easier export processes.
