A minimum tank size of 150 liters is recommended to accommodate their territorial nature and provide adequate swimming space.

Feeding Blue Johani is relatively straightforward as they are omnivorous, enjoying a varied diet. High-quality cichlid pellets, along with supplementary foods such as spirulina flakes, frozen or live foods like brine shrimp and daphnia, will help enhance their vibrant coloration and overall health. It is advisable to feed them small portions multiple times a day to ensure they receive the necessary nutrients.
