Origin
Java, Indonesia; actual collecting stream unspecified.
Current taxonomy restricts nominal platypogon to Java. Its thoracic adhesive apparatus includes a central pit, and the broad tail lobes lack the conspicuous longitudinal dark stripes found in some relatives. The wild-caught 7-8 cm grade does not certify a specific stream or sex. A published 10 cm total-length record describes reference size rather than the dimensions of every offered fish.
Prepare a mature system with clean gravel or smooth rocks, circulation and dependable oxygenation suitable for this stream fish. Confirm temperature, chemistry and accepted small foods with the supplier before transfer. Published Cisadane feeding observations concern mayfly larvae; they do not establish a complete captive ration or numerical aquarium-water limits.
MBI-CAT-025 (7 cm - 8 cm): 15 fish per bag; maximum 8 bags per box.
