It digs around a suitable empty shell until mainly the entrance remains exposed. Its strong territorial behaviour matters despite the modest shipping grade; neighbouring shells can also be buried. The reference species lacks vertical bars on the flanks, unlike the similar brevis. No selected gold form, sex or bonded pair is specified.
Species guidance gives 23-27 C and pH 7.5-9.0 in hard water. Provide mature filtered housing, diggable sand and more appropriately sized empty shells than fish. Space refuges and watch rivalry. Offer suitable live or frozen foods and accepted prepared items, confirming breeder water before transfer.
MBI-CIC-039 (2.5 cm - 3 cm): 1 fish per bag; maximum 400 bags per box.
MBI-CIC-039: minimum 50 individual fish. Prices are per individual fish. Existing quotation and business terms govern shipment arrangements.
