The original description separates this species from K. maculiceps by broad regular bars and head markings. Live reference fish can show a red tail, but colour is variable. The 6-8 cm offered grade is separate from sex or exact collecting locality. This unqualified falaris listing retains its own code and price alongside the cf. falaris lot.
Use a mature aquarium with clean, well-oxygenated water, secure cover and several sheltered resting places. Confirm the supplier holding water and feeding response before transfer, and provide food where bottom-dwelling fish can reach it without competition. In the original captive observations, fish used crevices and coarse gravel for shelter and emerged to forage; animal-based foods were preferred. Provide accessible sinking foods and check intake. Published field habitat and numerical aquarium limits were not established, so obtain the supplier measured holding regime before transfer.
