Protomyzon whiteheadi

The species was originally described from Mount Kinabalu and remains accepted in Protomyzon. A recent Kinabalu forest-stream survey associated its occurrence with high dissolved oxygen. The All Size offer leaves numerical size bounds and exact collecting locality unspecified; a published standard-length record is not treated as the shipping size or an adult total-length maximum.

Prepare stable, filtered receiving accommodation and confirm measured holding water, food acceptance and adult space needs with the supplier before transfer. Keep sheltered bottom areas and check that each fish reaches its food without competition. Prepare clean, well-oxygenated water with circulation and sheltered bottom surfaces, and confirm the established feeding and temperature requirements for this lot. A field association with dissolved oxygen does not supply a complete numerical aquarium-care range. Observe condition and food intake after transfer and avoid competitive feeding pressure.
