When caring for Midnight Angels, maintaining stable water parameters is crucial for their health. The ideal temperature range is between 24°C to 28°C, with a salinity level of 1.020 to 1.025 ppt. pH should be kept between 8.1 and 8.4. The minimum tank size should be at least 200 liters to provide ample swimming space and hiding spots.

Feeding should consist of a varied diet, including high-quality flake or pellet food, frozen or live foods rich in spirulina, and algae-based products. This will ensure their nutritional needs are met and help maintain their vibrant colors.

Midnight Angels are best introduced to a well-established aquarium after a proper acclimation process, ideally using the drip acclimation method to minimize stress. Quarantine is highly recommended for new arrivals to prevent the spread of diseases and parasites, allowing for a period of observation and treatment if necessary.

Compatibility-wise, they are best kept with other peaceful fish of similar size and temperament. Avoid housing them with overly aggressive tank mates or other dwarf angels to reduce the risk of territorial disputes.

Midnight Angels are suitable for shipping, but care must be taken to maintain stable water temperatures and conditions during transit. Packing density should not exceed 1 fish per 5 liters of water to ensure adequate oxygen levels. These fish are sensitive to temperature fluctuations, so it is important to ship them at temperatures between 24°C and 28°C. Currently, there are no CITES restrictions on this species.
