Feeding them a varied diet is crucial. They thrive on high-quality marine pellets, frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. Omnivorous in nature, they will also accept finely chopped seafood and algae-based foods. Ensuring proper nutrition will support their vibrant coloration and overall health.

In terms of compatibility, the Orange-marked Goby is generally peaceful and can be housed with other small to medium-sized reef-safe fish. However, caution should be taken when introducing them to aggressive species. Acclimation should be gradual to minimize stress; a drip acclimation method is recommended. Quarantine new arrivals for at least two weeks to prevent the spread of potential diseases before introducing them to the main tank.

The Orange-marked Goby is suitable for shipping due to its resilient nature. Packing density should be moderate to allow movement and reduce stress during transit. Ideal shipping temperatures range from 24°C to 26°C, as they are sensitive to extreme temperature fluctuations. This species is not listed under CITES, making export easier within legal frameworks.
