Feeding Assorted Puffers involves a varied diet rich in protein. Offer a mix of high-quality pellets, frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and small crustaceans. It's crucial to avoid overfeeding, as this can lead to health issues. Compatibility with other species should be approached with caution; while some fish can coexist peacefully, others may trigger aggression in puffers, so it is advisable to house them with similarly sized and docile species.

Acclimation should be gradual, using a drip method to reduce stress. Quarantine new arrivals for at least two weeks to monitor for diseases and parasites before introducing them to the main tank. Regular water changes and maintaining good filtration will help ensure a healthy environment, minimizing the risk of disease and promoting vibrant coloration.

Assorted Puffers are suitable for shipping, provided that they are packed securely in well-oxygenated bags to minimize stress during transit. A packing density of 1 fish per 5 liters is recommended to ensure adequate space. Shipping temperatures should be maintained between 24°C to 28°C to avoid thermal shock. These species do not currently have a CITES status, simplifying the export process.
