The Manacapuru designation has a geographic history, but the offered fish are tank bred. The 3 cm Body Only grade does not guarantee a verified founder population, selected sex or fully developed red back. Confirm pedigree if preserving a locality line is the purpose of purchase.
For commercial freshwater angelfish, the supplier care sheet gives 25-29 C and pH 6.5-7.0. Prepare mature filtered housing with tall planting, open swimming room, gentle flow and adequate vertical clearance for adult fins. Feed varied appropriately sized prepared and live or frozen foods. Small fish may be prey and breeding pairs can defend territory; confirm the breeder regimen for this line.
