Marble Lancer Catfish

Current taxonomy retains Bagroides melapterus; the similarly written melanopterus is an old unjustified name change. Its 5-7 cm supplier grade is an ordering measurement rather than an adult maximum. Marble Lancer is the commercial name, without a guarantee of identical markings or a particular breeder lineage in every fish.

Prepare stable, mature filtered accommodation, confirm the supplier measured holding water and accepted foods, and monitor condition and feeding after transfer. Provide suitable bottom shelters and feeding access without competition. Obtain the established long-term diet, adult housing and water requirements from the breeder. Provide accessible bottom feeding areas and account for the physical spines when arranging transfer. A numerical care range or adult total-length maximum is not assigned from an unrelated lancer catfish.
