The nominal Short-tail Pipefish is brown-green with pale snout markings and a dark line through the eye. Adults often enter freshwater, while younger stages also use estuaries and the sea; males carry eggs beneath the trunk. The wild 5-6 cm offer does not establish age, sex or the salinity in which this lot is held.

Confirm the measured holding salinity, transfer method and foods accepted by this lot before receiving. Provide mature stable accommodation and ensure access to suitably small animal foods without competition from faster feeders. Do not infer a salt dose or a freshwater-only life cycle from the catalogue category.
