Heniochus varius, commonly known as the Hump-Head Bannerfish, is a captivating species from the butterflyfish family, Chaetodontidae. This fish is native to the central Indo-Pacific region, thriving in coral reef environments where it plays a vital role in the ecosystem. Characterized by its striking coloration, the Hump-Head Bannerfish exhibits a distinctive pattern of black, white, and yellow, with a prominent hump on its forehead, which becomes more pronounced as the fish matures.
