It’s crucial to maintain stable water conditions, as fluctuations can lead to stress and health issues. A minimum tank size of 200 liters is recommended to provide ample space for swimming and hiding.

Feeding this species includes a diet rich in meaty foods; they prefer live or frozen foods such as small fish, shrimp, and other invertebrates. Regular feeding of high-quality pellets can also be included. Importantly, the Trumpetfish should not be housed with small or timid species, as they may be seen as prey. Compatibility is best with larger, more robust fish that can coexist peacefully.

Acclimation to a new environment should be done gradually to minimize stress. A drip acclimation method is recommended.
