A minimum tank size of 100 liters is recommended to provide ample space for these active shrimp to thrive.

Feeding Cleaner Shrimp is relatively straightforward. They are omnivorous scavengers and will accept a variety of foods, including high-quality shrimp pellets, frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, and algae-based products. To encourage natural cleaning behavior, it is beneficial to introduce them into a community tank with fish that require cleaning services.

Compatibility is one of the strengths of Cleaner Shrimp; they are generally peaceful and can coexist with a range of marine species. However, caution should be exercised when introducing them to aggressive fish that may see them as potential prey. Acclimation should be done slowly, ideally over a period of several hours, to ensure they adjust to their new environment without stress.

Cleaner Shrimp are suitable for shipping, provided they are packed carefully to avoid stress. Ideal packing density should allow for sufficient water and space to move, typically one shrimp per liter. They are sensitive to temperature fluctuations, so maintaining a stable temperature between 24°C and 28°C during transit is essential. Currently, Cleaner Shrimp do not fall under CITES regulations, allowing for smoother export processes.
