Native range: southern Central Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia; offer: wild caught
Sundadanio retiarius was described in the 2011 revision of the genus. It inhabits peat swamps and blackwater streams in southern Central Kalimantan, Borneo. Male colour includes an orange to light-green sheen bordered by an intense red-orange stripe; the catalogue trade word Red does not guarantee uniform colour in every fish.
It is a distinct species from S. axelrodi. Older Red Sundadanio trade names can refer to other species, including S. rubellus; this offer retains the supplier’s S. retiarius identification.

Confirm the actual collection locality and obtain holding-water measurements and accepted-feed details before receiving this consignment. Prepare a stable freshwater system using those values as the acclimation reference. Observe feeding and group interactions before adding companions. Exact-species numerical aquarium care has not been independently verified, so ranges from S. axelrodi are not substituted.
